Gore Poetry

So, there has been a lot of laughter generated because of Bush's malapropisms. There is even a Bush "poem" that contains a lot of his mis-statements published in the Guardian. But suppose Gore had been elected president instead?

"We are ready for any unforeseen event that may or may not occur."

"The Holocaust was an obscene period in our nation's history. I mean in this century's history. But we all lived in this century. I didn't live in this century."

"It isn't pollution that's harming the environment. It's the impurities in our air and water that are doing it."

"We're all capable of mistakes, but I do not care to enlighten you on the mistakes we may or may not have made."

"I believe we are on an irreversible trend toward more freedom and democracy - but that could change."

"Verbosity leads to unclear, inarticulate things."
"Verbosity leads to unclear, inarticulate things."
"Verbosity leads to unclear, inarticulate things."

"I have made good judgments in the past. I have made good judgments in the future."

"The future will be better tomorrow."

"I stand by all the misstatements that I've made."

"We have a firm commitment to NATO, we are a *part* of NATO. We have a firm commitment to Europe. We are a *part* of Europe."

"Quite frankly, teachers are the only profession that teach our children."

"We're going to have the best-educated American people in the world."

"I didn't know it was a Buddhist Temple"
"I didn't know it was a Buddhist Temple"
"I didn't know it was a Buddhist Temple"
"I didn't know it was a Buddhist Temple"
"I didn't know it was a Buddhist Temple"
"I didn't know it was a Buddhist Temple"

Hmmmm, just goes to show you that anyone who speaks in public is going to fumble words, make misstatements, and occasionally look foolish, eh?

All too true, after Dan Quail the left elevated the collection of gaffs to prove stupidity to an artform. But good luck in getting a rise out of them on this. It's been shown to at least my satisfaction, that Gore isn't anywhere near as brilliant as he seems to think. Several people on the web have cataloged his verbal pratfalls. But nothing penetrates the armour of smugness the left wrap around themselves about their belief in their higher intelligence.

Nope the republicans are stupid, every good leftist knows this. How else to explain how every single time they went after Mr. Bush they ended up flat on their face. Yep, dummies, thats why they win elections over smarter democrats. But the real proof that they are sooo dense, is that they have won the debate on Iraq. Didn't we see how the congress and voters backed them by a 2 out of 3 margin?...what morons..........

You would think that the smugness would be slipping a little by now. But the ability to see things clearly seems to be in decline on the left.

All these quotes you attributed to Gore are actually Dan Quayle's, if you'll do any real research instead of just looking at Republican dogma sites.

For instance, Gore is an environmentalist and has no motivation whatsoever to excuse pollution by corporations. So why would anyone except a Republican utter the nonsense about pollution not being a problem?
