UPDATE
OK, you decide. Is the picture of Churchill below in ANY way related to Sarandon above? Yeah, they are both making a little "V" thing with their fingers, but that's about it.
Gotta love that revisionist history, though. It must be what allows you to overlook hundreds of thousands of Iraqi dead to point an accusing finger at the US.
And here, another subversive uses that disgusting sign:

Posted by: harmonia on April 22, 2003 05:04 AMAs usual, Harm, you have completely twisted history for your own sordid little purposes.
Churchill used the "V" for victory sign, and was committed to doing whatever it took to save England from Nazi Germany. This has what, exactly, to do with Sarandon's grandstanding and peace sign flashing?
Posted by: Neal on April 22, 2003 08:59 AMAbout as much to do with sarandon and a Palestinian using in IMHO.
Anyway, have a nice Easter break?
Posted by: harmonia on April 22, 2003 09:59 AMYes, a very nice Easter break, thanks.
Sarandon and the Palestinian child are both using the peace sign to show support for a murderous thug. How are the 2 things different?
Posted by: Neal on April 22, 2003 10:14 AMAh the peace sign went out with polyester and muttonchop sideburns. Only retrograde "Ben and Jerry's" burned out hippy's and their cultural offspring still think it's meaningful of anything other than sappy emotionalism.
When it was the Victory sign, before it's blatent theft as an anti-war symbol, it was kinda corny. Now it's just sad, like the overaged nerds who give the Vulcan greeting, "Live long and prosper". The only hand sign I ever use only envolves one finger, which I proudly wave in Susan's direction.
Note to Susan, tell Tim to get hormone injections if he's gonna threaten people. He's as frightening as a really annoyed Don Knotts.
Posted by: puggs on April 22, 2003 10:18 AMCan I wave it at Shrub then Neil?
:)
Looking forward to the islamic Republic of Iraq setting up?
Posted by: harmonia on April 22, 2003 11:13 AMSure, right after I get to piss on Groucho,....oops sorry, Karl Marx's grave. Still gonna vote for George, and thats Mr. shrub to you missy. Seein's how he's been handing the left it's ass for a couple of years now.
Posted by: puggs on April 22, 2003 02:21 PMLMFAO, Puggs!
You hit it on the head, bud... the libs are absolutely in a mouth-foaming frenzy now, because Dubya is doing the right thing and has the vast majority of America behind him & the war. What infuriates them to no end is the fact that they were ignored and brushed aside much the same as the French, Germans & Russians in the U.N..
The final whack upside their heads will be the re-election in '04. I can't wait. My boss is further to the left than Hillary, and he is almost frantic now that it's apparent how far out of touch the liberal Democrats are with America.
Posted by: NightTrain on April 22, 2003 10:44 PMDo you think he will win with another overwhelming minority?
:)
Posted by: harmonia on April 23, 2003 03:39 AMHe won by the law last time, you know our pesky little Constitution. We won't change it because it's worked well for 200 years, and it might favor the other side next time.
He'll win big, just like he did in the midterm elections. He'll win because you on the left can't learn from your mistakes, He'll win because we like a strong confidant leader. He'll win because he's right for the times we're in.
Pissing off leftists is just an added bonus. Besides when was the last time a PM in your country won more than 50% of the vote? I should think you of all people like minorities, since you spend all your time in one.
Posted by: puggs on April 23, 2003 01:15 PMPuggs, if you dont get 50%+1 in a two horse race here you dont get to win.
Bush didnt win an election he won a court case, the whole world knows it why not just admit it?
Posted by: harmonia on April 24, 2003 10:00 AMOh really, well then little miss expert on constitutional law, explain the electoral college to yourself if you can. It's happened before in our history when a president won without the popular vote. Gore got 50.1% big fucking deal. That's less than 1 half of one percent, a virtual dead heat. Besides which the voting irregularities routinely engaged in by democrats makes that win highly questionable. Bill Clinton only got 46% the first time, but still won the election. The election statisically was pretty much a tie with each man getting 50 million votes.
If the court had decided the other way, and Bush had recieved 300,000 more votes you wouldn't say shit. So give it up. You deny his legitimacy because you can't stand the result of his winning. To which I say take a long walk on a short pier, I don't care that you think so. He's still president and that fuckwit Gore is not.
