As far as it goes, do you care when you look down at an ant hill wether one ant is better than the others? I doubt God sees much difference between us. So we all do our best, and hope it's enough.
Don't take it too hard Neal, I don't believe God would really be so vengefull as to torment souls for all eternity. That he leaves to Public Television.

If you've ever a desire to read Inferno, I highly recommend the John Ciardi translation, with annotations. It's actually a pretty easy read--I've read it dozens of times.
