Hamas leaders must be getting tired of exploding in a fine, red mist.

Posted by: harmonia on June 23, 2003 10:31 AMOooohhh, sure. They care a LOT about the civilian population, that's why they hide among them.
But I hope you're right, Har. If they've finally decided that they love their children more than they hate the Jews, perhaps there is a chance.

Posted by: harmonia on June 23, 2003 11:12 AMQuestion:
If they're sooooo tired of "watching their children being killed," then why do they teach their kids to blow themselves up?
Answer:
They aren't tired of it in the least, because it gives them an excuse to kill more Jews. If they really didn't want to see their children killed, they wouldn't be training them to go into the fight.
Here endeth the lesson.
Posted by: Mike the Marine on June 23, 2003 12:32 PMNah - they'll never get tired of it. It's just that the rest of the Palestinians *are* getting tired of it and there's not nearly the popular support from all quarters that there used to be. We will win the war.
Posted by: inkgrrl on June 23, 2003 01:33 PMTheir leadership is finding the cost of sending boys out to die and murder for them is no longer as cheap as it was. The IDF is getting better at finding them and applying the red mist arguement harm, Neal is quite right.
BTW why don't you tell your socialist, aka communist leaders that they should take a lesson from that. We remember harm, much better than you can imagine. You are a minor movement, less than an after thought, and such movements turn often to terror. So maybe you should notice the cost now of such activities.
Actually puggs, I think Harm is just the tail end of a disasterous movement, one that's taking a long time to die. It may take years, or decades, but communism has been shown for the failure and tragedy that it is.
Posted by: Dave on June 23, 2003 04:52 PMDave I agree, it is in it's last desparate stages. Which is I wonder if they, not harm herself, but the organization may turn to terror because they HAVE failed every other way. Communists aren't shy when it comes to sacrificing lives for the sake of political dogma. We had several object lessons to that effect before.
