Here Again

Look over to the right,

See any similarities?

"Today, as America faces unprecedented threats, this historic symbol of our founding has emerged as a reminder of our origin and true courage. The Secretary of the Navy, Gordon R. England, has ordered all U.S. Navy ships to fly the First Navy Jack in place of the Union Jack for the duration of the Global War on Terrorism. In a memo to all ships and stations, England explained, "The temporary substitution of this Jack represents a historic reminder of the nation's and Navy's origin and will to persevere and triumph."

"In a speech preceding the commissioning rite of the USS Ronald Reagan, Vice President Cheney addressed the continuing threat of terrorism: "The Ronald Reagan sets sail in a world with new dangers. In the life of this carrier, as in the life of its namesake, the enemies of freedom will fall away and the realm of freedom will expand further across the face of the Earth."

The Tocq has a link where you can purchase a 'Jack'. Just click on the link under the pic.

We've had ours for years and fly it proudly!
I love the sinister look it gives me when we fly it from my Jeep on certain holidays and drive through downtown Olympia!

No nation can look at that flag and say it wasn't warned. I may have to check into getting one.

I am delighted to see that in martial use again.

I have Gadson flag which is the land based version.
It has a yellow field, coiled rattlesnake and the same loving motto. Fair warning for those with any sense.

I lend it to the local Libertarian Party from time to time...

Well now Sondra, if you're brave enough to fly this on Oly, I might have to one-up you and drive through the UW with one mounted in the bed of my truck.

Analog Kid....... maybe someday we'll have to drive past the old Camp Rachel, up to the Evergreen Parkway area, and meet up in "Red Square" (*I always carry my clue bat)...mwaaahahahaha

I do not own a cluebat, myself.

I do own a 5lb sledgehammer of knowledge, and a double-headed axe of cognizant thought, however.

Shit,....I'll have to be content with my bony fist of chastisement and send a pilgrim to the promised land grip to the windpipe.

You guys always got better toys. sigh.....

Wow, what a team! I think we've got it all covered. We'll start with Evergreen to UW, up through Eugene to Berkley and then shoot over to Madison and end up in Cambridge! Puggs, what's your rig and do you have the flag? RARR! :)

Wish I could join in, but the distance from Ohio's just too far for me. I have an old beater GMC pickup that I use sometimes.

I'll just content myself annoying the local college lefties at OSU and Denison University. Not as many as where you live but a guy's gotta have some fun.

Well hell, if I can get one mounted to the backrest of my motorcycle, I'll ride down from Shoreline and we can have a flag party! Hot damn, it'll be a good time on the old town tonight!
